Folk tales have always fascinate people around the word...
In Scandinavia we have Faires,'The Neck', the evil spirit of the water,
Trolls and Siren of the woods among others.
Faires

Faires looks like small beautiful whitedressed women with transparent wings.
They dance in the fog on a meadow, early on sommer mornings or summer evenings.
You can se rings on the grass, there they were dancing. Such rings was called fairy rings.
They are beautiful the faires, but they can be very dangerus...

Trolls
|
Trolls are creatures who lives in the deep, dark forest.
They get very old and the legend about them have been told under long, long time.
There are many stories about changelings. By some reason, are Trolls very fond of human child.
-so- they do everything they can to steel a human child in the cradle and exchange it with their own trollbaby.
They love everything that glitter and glimmer, and they store up many treasures in montains and caves where they live.

'The Neck', the evil spirit in the water

The Neck is a ill-disposed
supernatural being (creature).He lives in lakes and streams.
He pretend to be a human being or a streamman.
In the swedish folklore the Neck charm people with fascinating notes on the violin, horn or flute.
The music he play is so unbelievable beautiful so people that hear it can't resist to follow him into the water.
Then he pull them down under the water until they drowned.
The only chance to escape is to shut out the music by holding your hands over your ears. You can avoid the temptation from the Neck by carry steel, spit or pray.

Siren of the woods
|
Siren of the woods was a
seductive female and a supernatural being.
She reigned in the woods and over the animals. Those who was nice to her could expect good luck in hunting.
She helped woodmans, and if they helped her she gave them a reward. But if people make a joke about her she could bring disaster to them.
